My name’s Jenny and I’m a 26-year-old geek living in Liverpool. I have a degree in English literture and Media studies, a passion for geek culture, and I enjoy writing about things I love! I write as much as I can around my work – mostly comic book reviews for Travelling Man, stuff for the craft zine Snippets, and whatever short fiction I feel like doing. Hopefully the site should be easy enough to navigate around but please let me know if there are any issues with it, as I have largely built it myself. Comics
Most of the writing here is on behalf of Travelling Man, my favourite comic book store! You’ll find lots of lovely comic book reviews and some interviews with the fantastic writers and artists that bring them to life. I also tend to do a round-up of Thought Bubble Festival in Leeds.
Crafting
I’ve been a huge fan of the craft website Cut Out & Keep right back to its early days, and I’ve been lucky enough to get to know the geniuses behind it, Cat and Tom! I’ve had the honour of meeting and interviewing some great people in the music and crafting industries – even a burlesque superstar! I was editor for The Fandom Issue of Snippets magazine, and I’m now officially a co-editor of Snippets, so look forward to that in the future. If you like, you can check out my crafts –> here

This is probably my most scant category I’m afraid! It’s mostly stuff I’ve written just because I loved whatever it was, or it was for the Neutral Magazine from York St John University in 2013 which I wrote for and edited.
Miscellaneous
You’ll find all kinds of junk here – short stories and poems, game reviews, little pieces for various publications that don’t fit neatly anywhere else, and the article version of my dissertation about women and video games.

I’ve written comic book reiews and interviews with musicians for a few different publication: Rhythm Magazine – where I did an internship as a teenager – Sonisphere the alternative magazine, Travelling Man (on the rare occasion), or Snippets, a craft zine that gets some pretty amazing musical guests!
